There's never been a better time to consider the future role of councils

We now have a golden opportunity to build on the lessons learned during the pandemic and elevate our organisations so they are 'even more interventionalist, proactive and relevant come 2030', says Nicola Beach.

The County Councils Network and PwC released a joint report recently looking at what the future of local government could look like in 2030.

On first glance, this may seem odd considering we are still in the midst of the pandemic, but there has arguably never been a better time to consider the role of councils going forward.
