For place directors, thought leadership and behavioural insight are vital for creating better places for our communities. It is a way of challenging how we think, tackling problems in more creative ways and finding innovative solutions.

Despite knowing this, senior place leaders can struggle to find the dedicated time they need for critical reflection. The current landscape for local authority directors is more challenging than ever, with heightened financial pressures, uncertainties and complex political scenarios.
