Union bosses have denied they are pursuing a ‘summer of discontent’ after rejecting a pay offer for local government workers.

Union bosses have denied they are pursuing a ‘summer of discontent' after rejecting a pay offer for local government workers.

Employers have put forward a flat rate pay rise of £1,925, saying this would give the lowest paid workers a double digit pay increase, and an extra day holiday to all staff.
