Reading Council has called for an ‘urgent review of COVID safety protocols' at government-run traveller quarantine hotels across the country amid coronavirus outbreaks.

Some 44 positive cases of COVID-19 have been identified among residents and staff at the Department of Health and Social Care quarantine facility in the Penta Hotel in Reading since it opened in late April.
