More victims of gangs, trafficking and asylum seekers reported

There has been a dramatic increase in the number of children who are unaccompanied asylum seekers or affected by gangs or trafficking, according to new Government figures.

The number of children assessed by social services as unaccompanied asylum seekers increased by 30% in the 12 months up to the end of March 2019, compared to the previous year.
