Warning over 15-minute social care calls

Councils could be infringing social care recipients’ human rights, the sector's ombudsman has warned.

Councils could be infringing social care recipients' human rights, the sector's ombudsman has warned.

The warning follows an investigation by the Local Government and Social Care Ombudsman at Warrington Council that found more than 300 people had been allocated 15-minute care calls despite national guidance stressing these were ‘not usually appropriate'.
