Warning over reserves at Shropshire

Officers at Shropshire Council have raised concerns about reserve levels if the authority’s predicted budget overspend comes to pass.

Officers at Shropshire Council have raised concerns about reserve levels if the authority's predicted budget overspend comes to pass.

According to a report to a meeting of senior councillors this morning, Shropshire is expected to overspend by between £4m and £18m in the current financial year, with a ‘best estimate' of £10m.
