Watchdog will 'protect' councils, says Rowley

The Office for Local Government (Oflog) will provide a ‘protective shield’ for councils when it launches later this year, local government minister Lee Rowley has revealed.

The Office for Local Government (Oflog) will provide a ‘protective shield' for councils when it launches later this year, local government minister Lee Rowley has revealed.

Attempting to reassure the sector, the minister told the District Councils' Network that Oflog was ‘seeking to demonstrate [the] excellence' of local government and show the sector ‘what good looks like'.
