The September devolution deal deadline has ‘really focused minds' in the West Midlands as the region speeds up work preparing ‘ambitious' proposals, The MJ has been told.

Original timetables have been brought forward in light of chancellor George Osborne's 4 September cut off for submitting devolution deals.
