Whitehall has made savings of £5.5bn over the past year, Cabinet Office Francis Maude has announced.

Whitehall has made savings of £5.5bn over the past year, Cabinet Office Francis Maude has announced.

Maude stated he was determined to 'cut the fat from Whitehall' and explained savings had been made through changes to marketing, advertising, recruitment and unused property.
