The Government will commission work to find out more about children's services demand and expenditure in future to inform this autumn's Spending Review.

The Department for Education (DfE) together with the Treasury and Department for Communities and Local Government said they wanted to ‘understand better how local authorities responded to funding pressures over the last Parliament'.
