And the winner is.....localism

The Government’s decision to back down on forcing councils into weekly bin collection is a step forward for localism.

The Government's decision to back down on forcing councils into weekly bin collection is a step forward for localism.

For such a small aspect of local policy to be prescribed by a central government diktat goes entirely against the spirit of the Government's drive towards decentralisation.
