Wolverhampton agrees equal pay arrangement

Wolverhampton City Council introduces new pay structure for 5,000 female staff.

Over 5,000 council workers will receive pay rises from Wolverhampton City Council, as it introduces a new pay structure under its Single Status agreement.

Under the new agreement - which aims to end the historic discrimination of ‘female' job roles being undervalued in terms of basic pay – 1,242 staff members will also see their pay decrease.
