Let's see some more women in local government

Heather Jameson, editor of The MJ, argues local government should have a zero-tolerance attitude to sexism

The Fawcett Society's report on sexism in local government raises an important issue as voters go to the polls – there are still not enough women in local government.

And no wonder, when you read some of the examples of appalling behaviour woman have faced.
