Chiefs match main unions' pay claim

Senior council officers this week joined frontline trade unions in submitting an above-inflation pay claim for 2023-24.

The Association of Local Authority Chief Executives (ALACE) submitted its claim alongside local government’s three main unions – Unison, Unite and GMB - today, calling for the same basic pay rise of Retail Price Index (RPI) inflation, plus two per cent.
