South Holland DC should focus on ‘getting the basics right’ before pushing ahead with more innovative improvement proposals, sector peers have reported.
A Local Government Association corporate peer challenge report stressed that - while the council’s ambitious leadership can showcase ‘examples of innovative practice’ - a strong focus on ‘doing the fundamentals well will be necessary to ensure there are solid foundations from which to build’.
