Gauke: Universal Credit rollout going to plan

Work and pensions secretary David Gauke has told MPs that the rollout of Universal Credit (UC) is ‘proceeding to plan, gradually and sensibly’ despite mounting concerns.

Speaking in the House of Commons yesterday, Mr Gauke claimed that cancelling the rollout of UC could prevent up to 250,000 claimants from securing jobs.
