Half of UK residents think policies introduced by the Conservatives will impact negatively on local economies, according to a new study that cast doubt on the levelling up agenda.
A poll and study by the Centre for Progressive Policy (CPP) think tank, published on 20 November, reveals 50% of respondents believe the Conservative Party’s policies will adversely affect their local area, while just 9% think government policy will be positive.
