Scottish ministers defend Budget impact on councils

Scottish Government ministers have defended the impact of country’s Budget on councils amid warnings town halls face soaring costs.

The Scottish National Party’s cabinet secretary for finance and the economy, Kate Forbes, said her Budget meant crucial services such as social care would continue to be protected as pressures mounted on town hall finances.
