Tackling the climate emergency in South Lakeland

It’s hard not to have seen the headlines recently: extreme heat, drought, fires, sky-high fossil fuel prices.

South Lakeland DC declared a climate emergency in 2019 and since then the authority has been using its Climate Change Action Plan to work towards its targets of a carbon neutral council by 2030 and a carbon neutral South Lakeland district by 2037.
