West Berkshire Council has been urged to focus on the management layer below its corporate leadership team (CLT) to ‘bring further stability'.

A Local Government Association corporate peer challenge published yesterday read: ‘The council must now turn its attention to the next layers of management below CLT to make permanent appointments and bring further stability to the organisation, and to capitalise on the skills and enthusiasm of this cadre of officers.'
