The police service has been dogged Political correctness and risk averseness, says Harry Phibbs.

Sir Hugh Orde, the president of the Association of Chief Police Officers, complains that proposed ‘changes to accountability' for the police means ‘we run the risk of compromising the safety of citizens for reasons of expediency' unless ‘unless greater clarity emerges.'
