Theresa May has demanded a tougher approach from authorities in eradicating extremism and building cohesive communities following a third terror attack in as many months. 

In the wake of the attack in the London Bridge area, which killed seven people and left scores injured, the prime minister hardened her rhetoric, suggesting the public sector had not been effective enough in fighting radicalisation.
