Authority pleads for cash to fill funding gap

Argyll and Bute Council will make a plea to the Scottish Government for extra money to plug a £26m funding gap.

Argyll and Bute Council will make a plea to the Scottish Government for extra money to plug a £26m funding gap.

A motion agreed at the council's latest policy and resources committee said that for the council to retain its current level and quality of services it would have to increase council tax by 23% over the next two years.
