BCF 'hindered by financial strain'

The Better Care Fund (BCF) has led to improved partnerships between health and local government but financial strain has hindered development, a new survey has found.

The Better Care Fund (BCF) has led to improved partnerships between health and local government but financial strain has hindered development, a new survey has found.

The report by the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy and the Healthcare Finance Management Association revealed that, while the BCF had ‘improved or at least not harmed' working relationships between councils and CCGs, the programme was being held back by cuts and increasing demand.
