Birmingham to challenge unlawful temporary housing ruling

Birmingham City Council says it will appeal against a High Court ruling that the local authority was operating an unlawful system for providing temporary accommodation.

Birmingham City Council says it will appeal against a High Court ruling that the local authority was operating an unlawful system for providing temporary accommodation.

The court said families in need of temporary housing were left in unsuitable homes for considerable amounts of time while the council looked for properties.
