'Budgetary pressures' force plea to Government

Councillors at Labour-led Cheshire East Council have agreed to ask the Government for two more years of exceptional financial support. 

Council documents revealed the local authority was seeking £31m of help for 2025-26 and £24m in 2026-27 because of ‘budgetary pressures'.
