Business rates expected to grow to record levels

Predicted business rate income has risen to a record £23.5bn in England for 2016/17, figures released today by the Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG) have revealed.

Predicted business rate income has risen to a record £23.5bn in England for 2016/17, figures released today by the Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG) have revealed. 

The increase of £400m is down to a rise in new businesses, local government minister Marcus Jones has claimed.
