Prime minister David Cameron has climbed down on plans to block an amendment to resettle unaccompanied children seeking asylum after fears of a Tory revolt.

Prime minister David Cameron has climbed down on plans to block an amendment to resettle unaccompanied children seeking asylum after fears of a Tory revolt.

Mr Cameron had initially vowed that Britiain would not accept children who were already in Europe because it would create a 'pull factor,' encouraging parents to send lone children on the perilous journey across the Mediterranean.
