The prime minister has faced criticism from Oxfordshire CC leaders after he wrote to the council’s Conservative boss about cuts to frontline services.

The prime minister has faced criticism from Oxfordshire CC leaders after he wrote to the council's Conservative boss about cuts to frontline services.

In a letter to Cllr Ian Hudspeth, David Cameron described plans to close children's centres as ‘unwelcome and counter-productive' and claimed the council's net expenditure had increased from £341m to £438m since 2009/10.
