Local authorities are set to receive more than double the amount in New Homes Bonus payments for 2012-13, release of the latest Government figures indicate.

Provisional allocations for 2012-13 will see 353 local authorities share a total of £431m for delivering 159,000 homes last year, including £232m for properties built or brought back into use during 2010/11 and a £21m premium payment for affordable homes.
