Central Beds chief announces plan to retire

Central Bedfordshire Council chief executive Richard Carr has announced he will retire at the end of this year after 25 years as a chief executive.

Central Bedfordshire Council chief executive Richard Carr has announced he will retire at the end of this year after 25 years as a chief executive.

Writing to staff and partners, Mr Carr said he had intended to step down after his 60th birthday next month, but had postponed his decision due to the pandemic.
