Cheltenham chooses developer for landmark cyber park

Cheltenham BC has chosen its preferred development partner for the £1bn first phase of The Golden Valley Development, part of the council’s Cyber Central project.

Cheltenham BC has chosen its preferred development partner for the £1bn first phase of The Golden Valley Development, part of the council's Cyber Central project.HBD X Factory has been selected to help the council deliver the new development, which sits next to the GCHQ. The site will include 3,700 homes, create 12,000 new jobs and provide commercial space for cyber businesses.  

Minister for digital infrastructure, Matt Warman, said: ‘Cheltenham is an engine of growth for the UK's cyber security sector and the Golden Valley development will play a major role cementing the country's place as a global leader in the field.'
