Chief's role may face axe in council's corporate review

Derbyshire CC has revealed it is considering a proposal to axe the chief executive role – as Basildon BC prepares to review its corporate management team.

Derbyshire CC has revealed it is considering a proposal to axe the chief executive role – as Basildon BC prepares to review its corporate management team.

A Derbyshire spokeswoman said it was also considering reducing its top team from five to four senior directors, as part of plans to save more than £300,000 a year on management costs.
