A children’s services director has suggested too many children are being assessed for special educational needs plans.

A children's services director has suggested too many children are being assessed for special educational needs plans.

Immediate past president of the Association of Directors of Children's Services, Stuart Gallimore, told today's meeting of the Education Committee the threshold for assessing children for education, health and care plans (EHCPs) was too low.
