Finance experts have raised doubts over the deliverability of NHS Sustainability and Transformation Plans (STPs) and called on health organisations to better utilise councils' attributes.

The Chartered Institute for Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA) suggested health bodies leverage local government's record in service design, resource allocation, public engagement and communications to ensure STPs are achievable.
