'Concern' over aslyum transfer scheme

Kent CC has said it is taking too long for asylum-seeking children to be transferred to other authorities.

Kent CC has said it is taking too long for asylum-seeking children to be transferred to other authorities.

It is now mandatory for councils to take in unaccompanied asylum-seeking children (UASC) as part of the national transfer scheme.
