Concerns remain over funding for unaccompanied asylum seeking children despite the immigration minister announcing a national dispersal scheme to alleviate the pressures on authorities caring for high numbers of refugee children. 

Giving evidence to the House of Lords' European Union home affairs sub-committee yesterday, James Bokenshire MP promised that a programme to distribute lone children fleeing war-torn countries would be up and running by July.
