Conservatives plan a cap on pay-offs

Public sector redundancy pay-offs will be capped to £95,000 if the Conservatives win the general election, the party has revealed.

Public sector redundancy pay-offs will be capped to £95,000 if the Conservatives win the general election, the party has revealed. 

The new law is expected to cover the civil service, NHS and local government. It is also expected to include the BBC, where pay-offs have hit over the £1m mark.
