Corprorate Director - Transformation and Resources

If you are highly motivated, committed and determined, goal-orientated, optimistic and positive, you may just have what it takes to be successful in this key role within the Trafford Corporate Management Team. The portfolio covers a wide range of services including fi nance, HR, legal services, ICT and transformation. Alongside these core corporate and support services, the role is also responsible for cultural change and transformation across all services to ensure the Council remains at the top of its game.

Trafford also has a pivotal role to play in AGMA and the City region and our new Corporate Director will be critical in ensuring Trafford plays its part and is at the forefront of initiatives. This is even more important as we are a low resource Council and collaboration and partnership is fundamental to our future vision, although we have already made great strides in this area.

Trafford is a thriving, prosperous and culturally vibrant Borough at the heart of the Manchester City region but it also has areas of deprivation and faces the same financial pressures affecting local government and the wider public sector. We pride ourselves on being a value for money council delivering the very best services for all of our customers and we continually set ourselves ambitious challenges to ensure we are never complacent. The best use of our resources - both financial and people - is imperative if we are to continue to deliver efficient and high quality services to our residents, businesses and partners.

We are therefore looking for a highly motivated, committed, goal-orientated, and positive leader to help us deliver further transformation and efficiencies and provide excellent support to the wider organisation. For further information please see this link or contact our advising consultant Luke Judd (0113 205 6077).

Closing date: 2 November 2012.
