A council has insisted it was left with ‘no choice' but to reduce short breaks funding for disabled children after it lost a legal battle.

Mrs Justice Elisabeth Laing, sitting in London, ruled cash-strapped West Berkshire Council had unlawfully cut its short breaks budget.
