Council loses legal challenge to ombudsman

A legal challenge to a critical report by the Local Government and Social Care Ombudsman has been lost by Rochdale MBC.

A legal challenge to a critical report by the Local Government and Social Care Ombudsman has been lost by Rochdale MBC.

The council went to the High Court to challenge the May 2019 report, which criticised the council for underpaying special guardianship allowances to a family.
