The chief executive of Somerset CC has admitted council reserves are at a minimum, as his authority becomes the second to freeze non-essential spending.

The chief executive of Somerset CC has admitted council reserves are at a minimum, as his authority becomes the second to freeze non-essential spending.

The council revealed last week it has frozen non-essential spending until the end of March as it tries to balance a projected £8m overspend.
