Basingstoke & Deane BC has voted against proposals to form a single pan-Hampshire unitary and will look into reorganisation on a smaller scale.

Hampshire CC leader Roy Perry proposed the Hampshire-wide deal to avoid splitting up the county after two separate bids for Solent and Heart of Hampshire combined authorities were put forward.
