Healthwatch UK's report into social care is a ‘valuable contribution' to the debate about its importance, according to president of the Association of Directors of Adult Social Services (ADASS) Glen Garrod.

He called the report ‘timely' ahead of the anticipated publication of the Government's Green Paper later this year. He said it ‘recognises councils play a crucial role in supporting carers - and colleagues across the country will take this responsibility seriously'.
