Council tax falls by 8%

The average band D council tax bill fell by eight per cent between 2010/11 and 2015/16, new research has found.

The average band D council tax bill fell by eight per cent between 2010/11 and 2015/16, new research has found.

Research by The Taxpayers' Alliance (TPA) pressure group discovered there had been a total of 1,161 council tax freezes and 203 cuts compared to 406 increases.
