The Government is to curb proposed powers for local authorities to hike council tax on second homes.

The Government is to curb proposed powers for local authorities to hike council tax on second homes.

Proposals in the Levelling Up and Regeneration Bill would enable local authorities to introduce a council tax premium on second homes that are not occupied all year round.
