Councillors to 'raise merry hell with ministers' over delay

A promise by ministers to exempt councillors’ travel expenses from tax by the beginning of 2015/16 has been delayed.

A promise by ministers to exempt councillors' travel expenses from tax by the beginning of 2015/16 has been delayed.

A senior local government source said he was ‘dismayed' having had ministerial commitment to enact the change in April.
