Councils in the north west of England are continuing to work around the clock following floods on New Year’s Day.

Councils in the north west of England are continuing to work around the clock following floods on New Year's Day.

Teams from Stockport MBC have been evacuating homes at Meadow Mill, where hundreds of people were stranded after floodwater deluged the block of flats.
