Councils are working to help older people keep their homes warm after the Government axed winter fuel payments for about 10 million pensioners.

Councils are working to help older people keep their homes warm after the Government axed winter fuel payments for about 10 million pensioners. 

Basildon BC has launched its own warm home guarantee scheme to aid pensioners, handing out £100 grants to those that have missed out on the payments.
